ASCA Conference Wrap UP
We had a great time at the ASCA Conference and would like to thank Sue and the team for the fantastic job they did in putting it all together.
It was great to see the growing interest in athlete monitoring as a central component of athlete preparation. Many of the presentations discussed monitoring of one variable or another whether through performance tests, manual data entry or athlete entered perceptions. Clearly, Athlete performance monitoring is the way forward in professional sport for the foreseeable future.
Both at our trade booth and in some of the presentations there was a good discussion on how complicated it can be to collect power data in the gym. There was talk about the need for calibration, of sensors and force plates, setting to the correct sample rates and filtering frequencies and so on.
Did you Know:
* GymAware sensors, unlike older analog transducers are completely digital (like a stopwatch) and do not require calibration.
* All GymAware results are recorded with the same sample rates and cut-off frequencies so ALL GymAware results are comparable no matter where the measurement was recorded.
* A GymAware test can be set up and conducted in under a minute.
* All results are automatically stored and analysed.
* Both the software and your results are securely accessible online from any operating system (PC/Mac).
* GymAware has been developed over the last 6 years with the help of Australia's leading sports scientists and coaches.
* GymAware is a simple practical tool for the "scientific" assessment of athletes. * GymAware is a tool for coaches who are busy focusing on their athletes.
