Whether you want to Increase maximum aerobic power, increase sustainable aerobic power or increase pedalling speed SRM is a tool that shows your results, helping you train smarter. The SRM training system measures true power output in watts on your own bike during your training sessions and/or competitions under real conditions. The SRM Powermeter replaces your existing crank/chainring combination. The SRM Powercontrol is used instead of a heart rate meter and a bike speed indicator. It records far more data than any other bicycle computer, stores it for later analysis and provides a real time display. An SRM system includes:
The PowerMeter is a computer designed torque transducer made of highest quality alloy that measures the force on your pedals and the cadence to calculate real power (watts) The power measurement is reactionless, therefore no energy is lost. The PowerMeter is temperature compensated, 100% linear, waterproof and has a running time for 1 battery life of 50.000 km or 2.000 hours of training.
Factory calibration has shown that the accuracy of power measurement is:
The PowerControl contains a rechargeable battery that allows 25 hours of continuous use without recharging. The PowerControl comes complete with a serial interface, which allows downloading of data to a PC. SoftwareEvery training log is stored together with date and time; the files are stored in a database. With every training session you can enter a comment for saving of additional information. GraphsThe SRM Software provides you with graphs and reports to analyse your training and see your performance and how this compares to your objectives. SRM Statistic Analysis shows you graphically the percentage of time you spent riding at each power output, cadence, heart rate, or speed during a training session. SRM Periodic Analysis can tell you exactly what amount of time you spent at specific intensities/levels that you can specify. These can be set by power output, cadence, heart rate, or speed, or any combination of the above. The SRM Analysis or Conconi Analysis can indicate your body's aerobic efficiency, defined as the slope and offset of the heart rate-power relationship. Increased aerobic efficiency means more power for a given heart rate, or conversely a lower heart rate for a given power output. |
